Guidelines on the requirements of WIMES (Water Industry
Mechanical and Electrical Specification) 3.01 and 3.04
INTRODUCTION
The table below indicates the wiring colours
required for use in Low voltage switchgear and
controlgear assemblies for use in the water industry.
(as of 30 June 2004) :
All Power circuits are exactly in accordance with
the new harmonised colours detailed in BS7671,
amendment 2.
NOTE: a.c.power circuits shall
be either Brown/Black/Grey or Brown with coloured sleeves.
