Motor Control Centres containing  starters fitted with a large amount of control and indication devices can become quite expensive where the MCC contains a large number of small sized drives. Normally each starter contains a number of relays and timers to control the logic to interface between these devices and the actual starter itself.

The TCS HSI mounts in the door of a motor starter and replaces the conventional pushbuttons, pilot lights, relays and timers with a compact electronic unit mounted in a standard 144DIN case.

This can result in up to 50% space savings on small starters, enabling motor control centres to be made smaller without sacrificing functionality or options.

Originally developed for 2-pump panels, the HSI only needs a small 40 way ribbon/wire terminal interface mounting on the equipment mounting plate and it replaces all the conventional control equipment and only dissipates 7 Watts of heat.
