Horizontal Immersion Heated Hot Water (Flow) Boilers 25 - 1000kW

TCS Horizontal Immersion Heated Hot Water Boilers offer the following features:

  • Compact Packaged Units No requirement for boiler house, chimney, fuel storage or boiler attendant.
    NOTE: These units are also available in Vertical format - please contact the sales office for details.
  • Energy Conservation The high efficiency of TCS electric immersion hot water boilers(between 95% & 98%) whether at maximum or minimum load can result in huge savings in fuel costs. Capital cost payback can invariably be achieved within a few months.
  • Automatic operation Fully automatic stepped load modulation to match the temperature demand. Alternatively individual stages can be manually switched in or out as required.
  • Boiler Shell Vessel designed and manufactured to BS853 from heavy guage mild or stainless steel as required. Hydraulically pressure tested to 1.5 times working pressure. Normal working pressure 50p.s.i., (115ft head), higher pressures available to order.
    Vessels can also be made to BS5500 if required.
  • Insulation High density fibre glass insulation 50mm thick, clad overall with 16 guage mild steel sheet. Standard finish electric hammer blue enamel.
  • Elements Heavy duty industrial incoloy sheathed elements of low watts density(typically 11.6W/cm2). Arranged for multi-stage progressive load control, mounted with BSP threaded ferrules to facilitate easy field replacement if necessary.
  • Protection Low water and High temperature cut-outs with manual reset ensures elements are de-energised in case of fault. Panel alarm indicator is fitted for each condition.
    CONTROL STAT - removes supply to all stages until water temperature falls below stat setting. The boiler then re-starts.
    SAFETY STAT - if temperature continues to rise or control stat fails, the safety stat will trip and remove the supply.
    WATER LEVEL FAILURE RELAY - removes supply to all stages should water level fall below working level.

Control Panel

  • Main door interlocked isolator
  • HRC fuses
  • Load contactors
  • Step controller with recycle relay provides progressive load control, avoiding power surges on system, with restart from zero load ensured after shutdown for any reason.
  • Pilot hand switches and indicator lights are provided for each load bank with indicators for low water & high temperature conditions.
  • [Optional] Circulating pump starter interlocked with load contactors can be provided along with pilot hand switch & indicator light.
  • The control panel complies with BS EN 60439-1, form 1, P.T.T.A.
  • Very close temperature control is obtained by means of potentiometric temperature detection modulating the boiler output to suit the required building heat loads. Normal flow temperature 180°F (82°C), return 160°F (71°C). Higher temperatures to order.
  • Free standing boilers are available with wall mounting control panels if required.
