TCS Electrode Steam Boilers offer the following features:

Compact Packaged Units No requirement for boiler house, chimney, fuel storage or boiler attendant.
• Energy Conservation High efficiency( 95% & 98%) whether at maximum or minimum load.
• Automatic operation Fully automatic stepless load modulation to match the variable steam demand at a constant pressure. Boiler control system allows operator load control adjustment from 10% to 100% of full load rating. Working pressure can be adjusted to any desired level up to maximum pressure rating of boiler, usually 150 p.s.i.g.(10 bar). Higher pressures are available to order. 
• Quick response The TCS electrode steam boiler can reach working pressure from cold within 15 minutes from start up with an automatic soft start feature. 
• Intrinsic fail safe controls Heat is generated by passing current through the water from phase connected electrodes to surrounding neutrals, therefore on loss of water no current can pass when the water is dry.
• Boiler Shell Vessel designed and manufactured to BS5500 - category 3, from heavy guage mild steel. Hydraulically pressure tested and insurance certified.
• Insulation High density fibre glass insulation 50mm thick, clad overall with 16 guage mild steel sheet. Standard finish electric hammer blue enamel.
• Electrodes Electrodes cannot burn out as with other heat exchange devices since they only reach the same temperature as the surrounding water. The low temperature electrodes operating at very low surface loadings do not encourage scale formation. This allows much longer periods of operation before descaling or maintenance is required.
• Protection Low water cut-out ensures elements are de-energised in case of fault. Panel alarm indicator is fitted for this function. Elements also cut-out on high pressure.
• Control Panel The control panel complies with BS EN 60439-1, form 1, P.T.T.A.
